IP University cutoff rank vs marks for B.Tech 2013

IP University paper is on 19th May 2013 after which students will be eligible for different universities/institutes in Delhi and NCR region. For Delhi students there is 80% reservation it means for those who are from other boards except CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) have to do really well to get the seats in this university.

    Hey i am having a few questions for you.....
    1) is there any difference in first and second shifts in IPU. .....
    2) which is better for cse msit ,. ait , mait (2nd shift) or bvp (2nd shift). ........
    3) which is better for cse upes dheradun ,msit ,. ait , mait (2nd shift) or bvp (2nd shift). ...... As i got 435 rank in upeseat 2013 and some people are saying that upes is good option placement wise ......but some are saying it is not.....


    I m a bit confused....
    please help me in choosing right college placement wise ......

      1)There is no such difference and in this case you have to wait and sometimes all seats are filled in 1st shift only otherwise no such difference.

      2)For CSE if you are getting MAIT or BVP in second shift then you must go for that.

      3)In terms of placement for CSE you must go for MAIT or BVP instead of UPES because companies arrive at UPES campus focus on petroleum and energy related branches. CSE have nice placement at UPES (but not so good) but MAIT and BVP have higher packages in CSE than UPES. Moreover UPES fees is around 13 lac but MAIT and BVP will be at most 8-9 lac only.

      Don't go for UPES for CSE if you are getting MAIT or BVP or any other good IP University.

      If you are getting msit or ait then also you must opt for that because avg placement of CSE in UPES is 3-4 lac whereas in IP University (selected colleges like mait, bvp, msit, etc) have an avg placement of 4-5.5 lac or even more. So, if you want CSE then choose IP University.

      You can get these colleges/universities ASET, BPIT, CHBPGEC, DITE, GPMCE, GTBIT, HMR, MAIT, MSIT and NIEC.

      You will be called according to your rank and according to that you will get a seat. Just go to ipuadmissions.nic.in and register there.

      This is the first time when DU is starting B.tech and it is some how different from normal b.tech. IIT faculty has cleared it that those students who will do b.tech from DU will not be eligible for M.tech degree from their institute.

      IP University counselling will start soon. To know about it you should go through newspaper and stay in touch with official website.

      I am studying in UPES. If you are getting good branch then you must opt for UPES otherwise go MSIT. Yes you can get MSIT in 2nd counseling. But check about it that you can change your option from dtc to msit or not?

      i wnt to take cse mainframe technology in upes..
      is dtc a good college..???
      if i dont get msit what should be preference list for cse so that i could get a good college in second counselling in delhi..
      is there really any chance that i cn get msit niec or gtbit in 2nd counselling..
      would the seats not be filled till second counselling...??
