This time the main campus hostel is only available for girls and for boys it is 5-7 Km from the college. If you want to stay near campus then there are several PGs around 1 Km of the college and there is one hostel Doon Scholars Boys Hostel which is 1.2 Km from the college and you can say at the walking distance from the campus.

If we talk about ragging then there is NO RAGGING at this college. Here no typically means no. Rules are really very strict and you can complaint against any one, but I think no such situation is going to arise. If we talk about students then they are really good by their nature and your seniors are going to help you a lot. Only thing is that you need to interact with them. If you want to live in city then you can join any of the hostel available at Vasant Vihar which is 12-15 Km from the college campus.

For entertainment purpose you can go to the city for movies and Big Cinemas is the nearer theater. There are 5 working days and Saturday and Sunday is off so you can enjoy or complete your project or assignment or can do any thing you want to do. If you are sports person or want to be a part of football or cricket team then you can. Students use to play at ground after their classes and at the intervals. If you want to learn something or want to complete your work then library will be the best place for you. You can find several books out there.

There are several groups to join among them SPE for petroleum field students and CSI for Computer Science students are the top groups and will charge you for their membership and it is advisable to join these groups because they will conduct different competitions and seminars for your benefit. If we talk about the faculties then they are good, some are exception (very rare) but most of them are really very good and will always help you. So whatever your branch is whatever your field is this college is good for everyone.

Review of UPES vs VIT vs SRM vs Jaypee vs UPTU vs IP

UPES University of Petroleum and Energy Studies in a petroleum university which even offers career options at MBA, Law and different sectors. But it is mainly known for its b.tech degree and that's why number of participants for entrance exam are increasing. This college is really good in terms of infrastructure, facilities and faculties are also helpful. If we talk about placement than this university is successful in providing the placement to 85% of the students in overall field and if you got a good rank then it is good to take this university in your consideration. On average the placement is of 3.5 lac and this is increasing every year. There is one more university of UPES which is known as UTM and you can even refer to that university also. As this university is in Uttrakhand then you might have to leave the comfort level of your house might have to live the hostel life. For some it is really awesome experience of life and for some it is not that interesting. If you are ready to leave your house and want a career in petroleum industry then it is really an awesome university for you.

VIT Vellore Institute of Technology and SRM Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University are also good universities which provides nice placements and VIT have even registered them selves at Limca Book for holding the highest placement from the campus. Well what I have heard is that VIT Vellore campus and SRM Chennai campus are best and rest of the campus are not that successful in providing such facilities and placement which they are providing at main campus. Still this university is good and provides placement to most of its students. South India is the hub of computer science so pursuing your career at computer science in these university will be an edge because most of the CSE companies will come there to recruit you.

Jaypee is one of the emerging university who is developing really quickly and this university is also well known for its multiple branches in all over India and the placement as well as the infrastructure provided by this university. This university takes admission on the basis of your JEE Mains ranks also. So, if you have good rank then you can think of this university. Jaypee University is of Jaypee group and it is considered that this college will be best for providing placements to Civil engineers but other branches are also good and have good placement records.

UPTU and IP Universities have multiple universities under them and there are many government universities under them which are considered to be the best and if you want to do engineering from MAIT of IPU and HBIT of UPTU then you really have to be very good on achieving that goal because getting these universities is not a cake walk. There are many universities under UPTU and IP which are considered to be best among all compared universities and you got your preferred branch as well as course on the basis of your rank in the entrance exam. So, if you want to do engineering in budget then UPTU and IP are best and if money not matters much to you then go for UPES, VIT, SRM, Jaypee according to your rank, availability of branch, course and facilities.
